Barcelona’s Boat Show & Car Off Shore's Configurator Launch
At this year’s show, Studio 3DX launched another 3D configurator - this time for a true Italian innovator: Car Off Shore.

From 8 – 12 October 2025, the 62nd edition of the Barcelona International Boat Show unveiled a format that was both refined and forward-looking. The event expanded its footprint to include the Barcelona quay, welcoming larger models and offering more space for on-water experiences.
With over 18,000 visitors and close to 500 boats on display, the atmosphere along the marina reflected an industry that is evolving — balancing craftsmanship with innovation. One of the highlights was The Village, a new social and gastronomic hub where exhibitors, designers, and visitors gathered between meetings and demonstrations. It added a distinctly human dimension to the event — a place for conversations about design, sustainability, and technology that continued well into the evening.
For us at Studio 3DX, it was another opportunity to see our work actively shaping the dialogue between builders, dealers, and customers.
The Launch of the Car Off Shore Configurator
At this year’s show, Studio 3DX launched another 3D configurator - this time for a true Italian innovator: Car Off Shore. Throughout the week, visitors stopped at the stand to explore the tool, customising hull colours, deck finishes, and interior combinations directly on-screen. The reactions spoke for themselves: configuring a boat in real time made the experience more immediate, more personal, and far more engaging.
From a customer’s perspective, the configurator turned curiosity into clarity. Every option was visible and interactive - each change reflected instantly, helping future owners feel confident in their choices. Dealers valued it for creating a shared language with clients, enabling them to see what appealed most, explain differences visually, and guide discussions with precision. For the manufacturer, it offered valuable insight into demand - revealing which models, colours, and options drew the most attention throughout the show.
Unveiling the configurator in Barcelona felt like the right moment and the right place. Car Off Shore’s brand - with its balance of design heritage and contemporary styling - resonated perfectly with the audience and the atmosphere of the event.

Karnic: The Proof of Value
Karnic Powerboats Ltd., represented by their local dealer Nautica Pedreña, also used their Studio 3DX Configurator throughout the show to connect with customers. After nearly a year in daily use, the system has become part of Karnic’s regular sales routine - and the results speak for themselves: more enquiries, more show visits, more sales.
The configurator is no longer just a visual tool; it’s a virtual dealer, a marketing platform, a source of analytics insight, and a digital hub connecting customers, dealers, and manufacturers. Visitors designed their boats on the spot, reviewed options side by side, and brought discussions a step closer to the unmistakable sound of success - the ringing bell that marks a sale. It was a practical example of how configurators have evolved from an online feature into a bridge between digital discovery and in-person experience.
A Growing Presence
Seeing both Car Off Shore and Karnic using Studio 3DX technology at the same event was a proud moment for our team - and a sign of a wider transformation taking place in the industry.
We’re seeing more brands adopt our configurators not only for their websites but also for exhibitions, dealer events, and showroom use. The line between digital and physical interaction is fading; configurators are now central to how relationships are built, boats are presented, and decisions are made.
Our presence at international boat shows continues to expand, and we’re collaborating with several manufacturers preparing to introduce similar digital experiences in the months ahead. There’s still much more to come - and we look forward to sharing what’s next.
