At Southampton Boat Show 2025, Studio 3DX explored standout launches — from Bellini’s Astor 36 to Cirrus Aircraft’s simulator — while sharing how 3D configurators are shaping the future of yachting.

The Southampton International Boat Show has long been recognised as one of the UK’s premier showcases for the marine industry, and this year’s edition reaffirmed its status. With hundreds of yachts, powerboats, RIBs, and marine innovations on display, the event offered a complete view of where the sector is headed — from refined craftsmanship to cutting-edge design.

For us at Studio 3DX, however, attending these events is not about covering them as spectators. Our focus lies in the conversations: engaging directly with builders and their representatives to understand how they are evolving, and how we can support them in the journey towards digitalisation.

This year’s highlights reflected the diversity of the industry. Delta Powerboatsshowcased their hallmark Scandinavian design — sleek yet practical, a fusion of elegance and engineering. At the same time, Cirrus aircraft stood out by introducing an aviation dimension to the marina. Experiencing their simulator offered a glimpse into how immersive technology can transform customer engagement, an area that resonates closely with our work.

Equally valuable were our discussions with Sebino Yachts- authorised UK dealer of Bellini Yacht. Conversations turned to the growing demand for digital tools that not only simplify the sales process but also give clients greater confidence in their choices. This is where our holistic solutions come in: from advanced configurators to integrated dealer portals and bespoke digital platforms, we help builders and dealers streamline their operations while elevating the client experience.

What struck us most at Southampton was the industry’s openness to change. While tradition and craftsmanship remain at the heart of yachtbuilding, the recognition that digitalisation is now an essential part of growth was clear in every conversation we had.

As the show draws to a close, our attention now turns to the busy season ahead. The Olympic Yacht Show in Lavrio and Salón Náutico Barcelona 2025 will run in parallel, and our teams will be present at both to continue these conversations. Barcelona will also mark the launch of a new configurator for a brand unlike anything we have presented before— a project that represents another step forward in how digital solutions can transform the way clients engage with luxury products.

At Studio 3DX, we believe that the experience of owning a yacht should begin long before stepping on board — and digital tools are how we make that possible.

Southampton reminded us once again that the industry is evolving quickly. We’re excited to be part of that evolution, helping shipyards and dealers reimagine their processes and deliver experiences as exceptional as the yachts themselves.
